NewTom DCiS is cutting edge wireless intraoral sensor because it has direct conversions (DC) technology.
Thanks to its innovative 2D imaging system, NewTom DCiS can generate very high definition images at low x-rays for doses. The excellent level of contrast and brightness is complemented by additional features of the NNT software, which, with new advanced filters, allow you to highlight diagnostic details. Since cables are wearing parts, the wireless design extends the life of the device as well as improves operational efficiency and patient comfort. Data transfer is fast and efficient using Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
DC TECHNOLOGY
Conventional sensors are sensitive to visible light, so X-rays must be passed through a scintillator. However, with DC technology, the sensor receives and processes X-rays directly, without any intermediate conversion. In this way, high resolution images are obtained with excellent contrast levels and very low x-ray doses, which protect the patient's health. In addition, the sensor is stronger and smaller because, unlike conventional intraoral sensor technologies, it does not contain traditional fragile components.
CHARGING STATION
The purpose of the docking station is to receive Bluetooth data from the sensor and transfer it to a personal computer or laptop via a USB cable. Data transfer and processing takes only a few seconds, so the X-ray image is immediately available in the NNT software. The docking station also serves as a case and charging base for the sensor when not in use.
SMART DESIGN
Every detail of the NewTom DCiS sensor has been designed to improve ergonomics and reduce patient discomfort. Rounded corners are less invasive and the absence of a cable prevents further discomfort. The active area is wider than traditional sensors. The LED on the back shows the different status of the device.
LONGEVITY
The outer casing and internal components are robust and impact resistant. Unlike traditional sensors, NewTom DCiS does not have easily breakable internal components such as scintillators. It is also certified IP67 for dust and liquid protection.
